Meditative Regression Therapy
Many peoples lives are still largely defined by events and experiences that they are not aware of. These experiences affect their subconscious aspect, thereby influencing the choices they make, and the fears and preferences they have. When trying to move beyond certain limitations, these people may find it difficult because they cannot find, and have not dealt with the cause in the first place. In such cases it may be useful to revisit past experiences, to resolve what is blocking progress and happiness now.
When practiced in a calm, comfortable and safe environment, Meditative Regression therapy can be a powerful healing tool for those people that are open to it.
How: Meditative Regression Therapy
This client is guided by a trained therapist - moved backwards in time and place, to re experience events that have already taken place. The subconscious is extremely clever, and when asked clearly, can take one to the original activating event.
This is achieved through a guided meditation which elicits a deeply relaxed and hypnotic like state where the mind opens, and where memories that are normally unconscious can be accessed.
These techniques can be used to access past events from ones current lifetime, or from ones past lives/ incarnations, that may be underlying present-day problems and issues. By bringing these forgotten experiences into conscious awareness, we can begin to work at releasing emotional and energetic ties to the events that are painful or uncomfortable.
The client is gently guided through the significant events of the relevant lifetime, through the death experience, and then a "life review." This is where the purpose of that lifetime, the lessons learned, and decisions made are examined.
We aim to discover what is most important about that prior place and time in terms of the client’s current personality and situation. We then work to bring acceptance, healing and a sense of completion to these experiences, so that the client can become unstuck, and move freely forward.
For those people who believe we only live one human lifetime, this process has been described as a movement through deeper aspects of themselves. The stories evoked by this procedure are profoundly symbolic, and are a journey into subconscious.
The subconscious mind is the repository of your previous learnings and experiences, of your beliefs about the world. It stores the starting material of all your thoughts and feelings, and exploring this reveals much about why you think a certain way, or believe certain things. Whatever limitations you are experiencing are strictly due to the limiting beliefs you hold in your subconscious mind.
Whether accessing “real” past lives or not, the approach has helped many people resolve issues and get past stuck points.
The experience - This process is different for every one.
Most clients find they "see" things clearly, while others experience only vague impressions. Various different sensations come up – feeling warm or cold, hearing things, or getting the sense of just knowing something intuitively.
Occasionally the client feels they can't tap into this deepened state. This may be the result of doubt, disbelief, or anxiety. Often in these cases stresses intervene and need to be worked on first. Just as those people who meditate regularly go quickly into an open and relaxed state, so do people find it easier to have more vivid experiences with each regression they do.
The best approach is to trust the process and let go. Do not concern yourself with the outcome, and or whether it makes sense or is "real" or not. Come with an open mind and without expectation.
Please Note:
Meditative Regression Therapy is very serious, and must not be entered into lightly. People must realize that they may experience things they did not expect to experience, as they tap into aspects of themselves they never new existed. This method is not suitable for those who just want to satisfy their curiosity, or who want to have a little fun.
When used with caution and respect, it can be a wonderfully useful tool in the road to healing and personal growth. When used flippantly or recklessly it can be damaging for the client and may compromise the therapist.
The clients’ decision to undergo this process could be turned down by the therapist if it is felt that it would not be beneficial at that point. The decision to do the therapy always has to be made after prior consultation.
It is vital that the client enters this process in trust, and without expectation. What is meant to come from this process will come. All is as it should be.
